we need to figure out the requirements and guidelines for the reserve component for better understanding unit wide and a possible end to large variations in unit numbers.

what I'm proposing since I cant find any information pertaining to the reserve component::

1. must attend 2 trainings, 1 hearts and minds, and 1 Saturday operation a month to maintain reserve status

2. all reservists report to one individual who will track their attendance and real life situations ( if situation is forbidding them to be active duty)

3. reservists will still be required to muster in and check forums but strikes will not be administered until after a counselling session between the soldier and reserve leader is conducted to discover nature of FTR.

4. reserve members will be placed as an "extra rifleman" in squads so they are still able to attend trainings, missions and operations OR if numbers allow, they can make up a force multiplier component.

In regards to the reserve commander, I volunteer for the position and request a 2 month " experimental " period to be put into place. I will be able to be more active by the end of this week and will be able to track things easier down the road.

1) H&M is completely voluntary. I'd argue 1 training, 1 mission per month.

2) Yes,

3) Strikes should be given, however, upon review removed after a counseling with Reserve Detachment Commander. Simply to stress uniformity and keep the burden of attendance on the Ranger.

4) Stay in reserve component. They can attend any training they have time for. Time constraints are the reason they're reserve, don't limit it any more than necessary.

Addition: Cannot GAIN rank past Specialist. PVT - SPC requirements stay the same. Promotions freeze upon reaching SPC until returning to full time active status.

We won't punish you for being reservist, but we won't reward you either.

I also agree with the addition to no being able to rank up past SPC, with the exception on personnel who go reserve from active duty ( guidelines for this can be covered in the future). hopefully this will allow people to still be apart of the unit even if they cant meet all of the requirements.

Are your referring to reserve as in leadership?

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Please elaborate.

Tenorf, we are figuring out guidelines for the reserve component in the unit, its a thing but we don't really have anyone leading it or even a plan for those who are in it.
